CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
It might have been a short 9 week term but we have managed to squeeze in a huge amount of events. Thank you to our students, teachers, support staff and parents who have made this term such a success in relation to learning and community engagement.
Our Sustainability Leadership team attended the Victorian Sustainability Awards at the MCG last Thursday. While they didn't come away with an award for their two nominated categories, they did a fabulous presentation and learnt from the experience. Thank you to Benson Steere, Peter Sanderson, Cara and Jye and Chisholm for representing our school.
Antonia Balmer and Anne Robertson begin Long Service Leave at the start of term 3 and will both be travelling overseas. Jae Leddin will replace Antonia while Andrea Sampson will teach Japanese and Katherine Howard will be in 1/2O on Fridays for Anne. Samantha Kenna goes on Long Service Leave for the rest of the year starting in week 5 to travel around Australia with her family. Leisa McCosh will replace her in the Art room. We wish them all safe travels.
We will celebrate Book Week in week 7 of next term. The theme is READ, GROW, INSPIRE! We will have our annual Book Week Dress Up day on Friday August 25, so start thinking over the holidays.
I hope you all have a restful holiday and we will look forward to seeing your children back for term 3 on Monday July 10.

Sylvie Sunshine Day
Our Wellbeing day this term was called "Sylvie Sunshine Day." We focused on walking/running kilometres to raise funds for the "I've Got You!" project to support families who are experiencing the death of a child. Our end of term assembly was a celebration of the life of Sylvie Watty who passed away at the age of 15 months. The Watty family celebrate her beautiful life every day. Sylvie would have been in year 5 this year at St. Patrick's if she was alive today. It was lovely to see the way the students, teachers and parents entered into the cause and the joy of celebrating life.
