CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT

FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers,
The Halloween Disco is tomorrow evening (Friday) so get those costumes happening. Due to less senior students attending than predicted, we will be combining the 2 age groups. The music will kick off at 5.30pm and conclude at 7.00pm. Parents are welcome to stay and join in. Ordered hot dogs will be served from the canteen and there will be a water station provided.
The Year 2 students are sleeping over in the school tonight. If you see them down at the beach, playground or Pelican's for an ice-cream, give them a wave.
Our year 6s are playing in the Moyne Cricket Competition tomorrow. We wish them all the best.
Issues accessing the Parent Access Module (PAM) on SIMON continue. Thank you for your patience. Hopefully it will be back in action soon.
A reminder that the school is closed next Thursday (Nov 6) for a teacher curriculum day.
Next Wednesday the residents from Moyneyanna will be guests at a Long Lunch put on by the Hands on Learning students and the school leaders.
Our Breakfast Club is a huge success. this week we had a visit from one of our local Police to help out. Well done to Elle Seath, the Year 6 students and parents who are making it happen.
Planning for the 2026 school year is well under way. If anyone needs to inform me of changes to their child/ren's enrolment or knows of anyone wishing to make an enrolment, please make contact as soon as possible.

CATHOLICCARE PARENTING CONSULT
This is an opportunity for parents to engage in an individual parenting consult with an experienced and Parenting Practitioner.
Hello! My name is Helen Diamond and I am delighted to be doing some work with the St Patrick’s school
community on Tuesday 28th October.
I am a Parenting Practitioner with CatholicCare, who has had the joy and privilege of working with parents for 28
years; I’m also a parent of three adult children and a grandparent of a 6yo and a 2 yo.
One thing I know for certain is that every parent wants to be the best parent they can for their child/ren. The
problem is that there is so much information around today, advising parents how to be the best they can that it
can be really confusing and confidence- deflating. Each generation of parents puts their own spin on parenting
and new research overrides the messages of previous “experts” which can sometimes leave us not knowing
where to turn when we hit a roadblock in our parenting journey.
I’m looking forward to conducting some parenting consultations at St Patrick’s, to hearing your parenting stories
and to discussing ways that you can support your children to navigate the ups and downs and challenges they
(and you!) may be facing.
If you are interested in an individual parenting consult on Tuesday 28th October, please send me an email and
we’ll organize a time that will suit you: helen.diamond@catholiccarevic.org.au
Looking forward to meeting you!
Kind regards,
Helen
