CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
Tomorrow (Friday August 11 at 10.30am) Bishop Paul Bird will be visiting St. Patrick's, along with DOBCEL representatives, Warrnambool Network Principals, Parish Priests, Parishioners and School Advisory Council members, to Bless our new building completed at the end of last year. On October 6, a Federal Government Official will perform the official opening with the architect and builder representative present. Parents are welcome to attend either celebrations. Thank you to the Parents & Friends who are organising the morning tea for those attending.
Thank you to everyone who purchased from our Book Fair. From the profit taken we were eligible to take $700.00 from the sales and $150.00 worth of books for our school library. Hurray!

FEAST OF ST MARY MACKILLOP - AUGUST 8
God of the Prophets
You gifted Mary MacKillop with vision and courage.
In her, we see one who was not afraid to speak fearlessly, Your gospel of love.
We pray for the sensitivity and imagination to read the signs of our times, and to articulate new possibilities for our own day.
Like Mary, may we learn to confront all that is oppressive and unjust and empower others towards true freedom and integrity.
Spirit of Wisdom, be with us as we face new horizons. Amen

CLASS NEWS 56BM
SUSTAINABILITY NEWS
Last week we introduced our new School Wide Sustainability initiative.
We noticed that there was a lot of rubbish in our yellow bins that should have been in our red bins. We presented the first ever winning class from the fortnight's focus. We were very impressed with the bins on a daily basis in this class.
Congratulations to 3/4MM for winning our class plant Jeremy and 10 minutes of early break.
