CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to term 4. Swimming and surfing activities get underway this term as well as the wind up to transition, graduation and dare I say it...Christmas. With the lovely spring weather to welcome us back to school, the atmosphere is energetic and positive.
Thank you parents for seeing that your children are wearing the school summer uniform. Please check that they are wearing the correct navy socks with the uniform and are not wearing inappropriate jewellery.
This Friday we have the Official Government Opening of the new building. Senator for Victoria, Mr Raff Ciccone, is the Federal Government representative visiting along with our local Mayor Cr Karen Foster, the Executive Director of DOBCEL, Tom Sexton, Sue Paulka, past Principal and Peter Sanderson, past Deputy Principal. Parents are welcome to attend the ceremony at 10.00am.
Olga Lyons (Principal)
PARISH SECRETARY VACANCY
Our Parish Secretary for the past 13 years, Leanne McElgunn, has advised of her intending retirement on Friday 24th November.
This position will need to be filled and the Parish seeks interest from either experienced and/or qualified individuals. Interested individuals may call into the Parish office at St Joseph’s Warrnambool to collect a role description or call 5562 2231 for further information.
This is a role of about 32 hours per week (9.00am - 4.00pm) with award wages but this could be negotiable
There is also a part-time administrative position as well. The work load has increased for our administrative staff due to our larger Parish. The latter position would be a 0.4 or 0.5 position.
(Fr John Fitzgerald)
FROM THE RE LEADER - ELIZA DWYER

The Common Good - Right Relationships
During Term 3 our Religious Education focus was working for the Common Good. We learned a great deal about respect through learning about right relationships, discussions and stories from the Bible, such as, ‘The Golden Rule’ and ‘Love for Enemies’. We have set ourselves goals for Term 4 using the knowledge we gained from our Religious Education study. We would like to share them with you.
