CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
This is my last week before heading to Ireland and Scotland for 3 weeks of enrichment leave. I will then continue to be on long service leave for the first 3 weeks of Term 3. Tristan Fay will be the acting principal in my absence with support from the very capable leadership team and office staff.
It was great to see so many parents attend our Learning Showcase and to observe the students sharing their successes and learning goals with their parents. What a great term it has been!
Reports will be available on PAM from this Friday at 4pm and your child's progress for Literacy/Numeracy will be on Essential Assessment via a QR code. Please be familiar with the Report and Essential Assessment information prior to the Parent/Teacher interviews next week.
See you in week 4 of term 3!
Olga Lyons
FROM THE RE LEADER - ELIZA DWYER
CONGRATULATIONS
Daisy Heather Lilley is a new little sister for Ruby Lilley in Year 2 and Jack. Congratulations to Ashlee and Nathan Lilley on her safe arrival.
SOCIAL INNOVATORS
The Year 6 Social Innovators group, 'A Place to Call Home', is creating care packs for the less fortunate. They are putting out a call for any old pillowcases or linen that you may be able to donate. They will use this material to make backpacks to carry the supplies they have gathered and will distribute them to the homeless.
They would also be grateful for toiletries (mini shampoos, cakes of soap, etc.) that you might have lying around or a gold coin donation to help with the purchase of materials.

SCHOOL TV - PARENTING STYLES
Raising children can bring great joy as you watch them grow and develop into unique individuals. The relationship parents and caregivers have with their children will have a huge influence on their lives. Most parents learn about parenting ‘on the job’ and grow into their role with experience.
Whilst there are several parenting styles discussed in this special report, children benefit most when parents are warm and loving, providing clear guidance and support. Understanding more about different parenting styles and their affects on children, will help you decide what kind of style you may want to adopt.
To help you determine which style of parenting you use, complete the quiz below. Once complete, a report can be emailed to you with your results.
LIBRARY SHELVING
Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to assist in shelving borrowed books in our Library. You have been rostered on for a week but we only expect you to come in for a short time and later in the week is best.
