CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT
FROM THE ACTING PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Term 3! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break. It's been wonderful hearing all the students sharing their stories of holiday adventures and special family times together.
We are delighted to welcome back Mrs Annie Templeton, who has returned this week from maternity leave. Mrs Templeton and Mrs Seath will be co-teaching a Year 2 class now that we have two classes in this year level.
We are also thrilled to welcome three new families to our school community as we had five new students start with us on Monday. Lydia (Year 3) and Amelia (Year 2) Ferres, Sienna (Year 2) and Bella (Foundation) Rincon, and Sadie (Year 3) Taylor have all settled in well to their new classes and our students have helped give them a warm St Patrick's welcome. We are looking forward to seeing them thrive and grow in our supportive environment.
Term 3 is looking to be another very busy term, kicking off with Year 5 & 6 camp to Melbourne next Monday - Wednesday. Our school working bee is coming up on Saturday July 27th, 9am - 12pm and it would be great to see a big turn out for it.
Mrs Lyons is still enjoying a quality break and will be returning to school in Week 4 this term.

CONDOLENCES
St Patrick's would like to extend our condolences to the Winnen family on the passing of Henk during the school holidays.
Henk had a long association with St Pat's. His children and grandchildren attended our school starting in 1957. Henk was very involved in our parish and the St Vincent's de Paul Society.
Henk was a great example of service to us all and to honor him Red House was renamed Winnen House in 2014.

SOCIAL INNOVATORS
The Year 6 Social Innovators group, 'A Place to Call Home', is creating care packs for the less fortunate. They are putting out a call for any old pillowcases or linen that you may be able to donate. They will use this material to make backpacks to carry the supplies they have gathered and will distribute them to the homeless.
They would also be grateful for toiletries (mini shampoos, cakes of soap, etc.) that you might have lying around or a gold coin donation to help with the purchase of materials.
