CHILD SAFETY STATEMENT
FROM THE ACTING PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Year 5 and 6 students have enjoyed an incredible experience on their Melbourne camp earlier this week. The three day camp saw them cover the MCG, NGV, Melbourne Museum, Parliament of Victoria, Eureka Tower, Kingpin Bowling and Laser Tag, The Shrine of Remembrance and other 'Melbourne' experiences such as catching trams, watching street performers and seeing the hustle and bustle of the city first hand. Thank you to all the staff that made this camp possible and especially Mr Steere for organising the jam packed timetable.
I also appreciate the support of all the staff back at school who picked up additional duties to help the school run smoothly while the Year 5 & 6 students were on camp. In particular Miss Dwyer who was in charge of the daily organising while I was sight seeing in Melbourne. We are so fortunate to have such a professional and experienced staff that can cover and support one another when needed.
Our Year 3 & 4 camp to Roses Gap will be happening later in Term 3 and the excitement from these students is already beginning to grow.
This Saturday is our school Working Bee from 9am - 12pm. Mrs Lyons has left a list of tasks to complete so if you find yourself available on Saturday please feel free to come and help!

SOCIAL INNOVATORS
The Year 6 Social Innovators group, 'A Place to Call Home', is creating care packs for the less fortunate. They are putting out a call for any old pillowcases or linen that you may be able to donate. They will use this material to make backpacks to carry the supplies they have gathered and will distribute them to the homeless.
They would also be grateful for toiletries (mini shampoos, cakes of soap, etc.) that you might have lying around or a gold coin donation to help with the purchase of materials.
