Child Safety Statement
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers,
Autumn has arrived and so has the cooler weather. Please check that your children have a jumper at school each day. Coats are for outdoor wear only so a jumper may be needed indoors. Coats are available for purchase from our office.
As we launch into the Folkie Weekend I want to thank the Parents & Friends Committee and in particular Bree Porter who have been working around the clock to get everything organised for the St. Patrick's BBQ. This is a mammoth event that requires many hands to make it a success. Don't forget to support our BBQ at the Folkie.
Thank you also to those who have volunteered to be available to supervise the camping here in our grounds and the Lehne family who are going to be the overnight supervisors.
Next Friday we will celebrate the feast of our patron St. Patrick. We will begin the day with a mass, followed by tabloid sport activities, a hot dog lunch and our annual St. Pat's Got Talent quest and assembly. Children can now nominate to audition for the talent quest. Parents are welcome tot join us for the mass and talent quest. Times will be confirmed next week.

Canteen Closure Days
The canteen will be closed on the following days:
- March 10th - due to Folkie BBQ preperation
- March 17th - St Patricks Day celebration special lunch
NAPLAN
Wednesday 15th March - Friday 17th March
NAPLAN is a national assessment plan that normally takes place each year. It is designed to assess students in Grade 3 and 5 in Reading, Mathematics, Grammar, Punctuation and Writing.
It is scheduled to take place this year on 15th, 16th and 17th. All students in Grade 3 and 5 attending school on those days will complete the supervised test unless school is notified that you do not want your child to participate.
MOBILE PHONES, SMART WATCHES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES
In accordance with the DOBCEL Digital Technology Policy and the St Patrick's Acceptable Use and Cyber Safety Agreement, it is a requirement that student mobile phones must be handed to the classroom teacher at the beginning of the day. Smart Watches must be set to aeroplane mode during the school day.
We understand that from time to time students may bring a device for use before or after school, however they are not to be used during school hours
Please remind your child of this process.
2024 FOUNDATION ENROLMENTS
We invite current families only to login via our school website to complete the enrolment form for any 2024 Foundation students. Enrolments for all other Foundation families will open in May, 2023.
Online Enrolment
Online enrolments are now available and can be completed and submitted electronically.
For this process go to our school website and select the Enrolment tab. Complete the Enrolment Enquiry to add your details for reminders and updates.
Under the Enrolment Tab you will also notice an Online Enrolment Form - select this and away you go. A tip with this one is do not use a phone or ipad to complete the form, any laptop or desktop computer will work fine.
You will also need to make sure you have your child's documentation (birth, immunisation, baptism certificates and any specialist reports) loaded onto your device, either by taking a photo or scanning and uploading as you will be able to upload all of that as well.
